Your Role:

As a Production Assembler (Conformal Coating), you will be part of a collaborative team responsible for applying conformal coatings, assembling, inspecting, and testing electronic assemblies and components. This includes printed circuit boards, cables, wiring harnesses, and enclosures. You will also perform quality checks on ongoing builds. • Maintain the coating and dispensing equipment infrastructure to ensure proper operating conditions.
  • Maintain a coating materials log to control FEFO (First Expired, First Out).
  • Remove any excess coating and perform manual touch-ups on areas the coating machine may miss to maintain consistent high quality of printed circuit boards.
  • Transport racks of printed circuit boards from one destination to another to continue the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain machines, including changing fluids and mixers and cleaning machines to ensure proper and efficient operation.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties to provide a safe and clean working environment at all times.
  • Have knowledge of various materials used.
  • Assemble electronic circuit boards and wiring harnesses using standard production documentation, including assembly drawings, schematics, and component descriptions.
  • Assemble mechanical sub-assemblies and complete system assemblies using standard production documentation, including assembly drawings, schematics, and component descriptions.
  • Close jobs according to the production schedule and budget.
  • Train all new Production Assemblers in standard processes.
  • Complete quality inspections against existing standards.
  • Additional tasks may be assigned by the supervisor to accommodate fluctuating production requirements.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to apply conformal coating manually with good hand dexterity.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to work in a controlled environment using solvents, acetone, and coatings.
  • Familiarity with IPC 610 standards; certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of electronic circuit board aspects in a static-controlled environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a high-energy environment with minimal supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems and their use.

Experiences That Will Help You Thrive:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an assembler in the electronics industry.
  • General knowledge of production techniques, standards, manufacturing, and quality control principles and practices.
